Lesson One..............................................

1 What makes a person special in God&rsdquo;s eyes. Deut. 26:18 says, that His people must be “PECULIAR ” - What does that mean? Different, separate, not like the average person of the world. Exodus 19:5 says that this is brought about by being obedient to God's laws.

Lesson Two..............................................

2 (M-BS) Jesus said in John 16:25, “These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.” What are “proverbs?” They are symbols that are hard to understand unless one has spiritual help. That is the job of the Holy Spirit, to give guidance

Lesson Three...........................................

3 (M-BS) John 16:13 says, “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth.” God has purposely used symbols in the Bible so that no one can correctly interpret it without the help of the Holy Spirit. This is one reason why the truth of the Bible is hidden from the sinful people of the world.

Lesson Four.............................................

4 (M-BS) Acts 5:32 says, “And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.&rdquo Why isn’t the Holy Spirit given to ordinary people? Because sin separates man from God, as we see in Isaiah 59:2 “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”

Lesson Five................................................

5 (M-BS) The story of the Egyptian butler and the baker in Genesis 40:5, and the Pharaoh himself in chapter 41, who had symbolic dreams, but didn&rsdquo;t have a clue as to what they meant, reveals that only a servant of God, like Joseph, knew the correct meaning. The same thing happened with Daniel when the King of Babylon couldn’t understand his dream.

Lesson Six...........................................

6. When sinful people become proud of themselves, all of reality goes off course, as we see in Psalm 82:5, “They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.”

Lesson Seven............................................

7(M-BS) God says in Malachi 3:7, “Return unto me, and I will return unto you,” Then He makes a promise to the blind and ignorant in Isaiah 42:16, “And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.”

Lesson Eight.............................................

8(M-BS) When a person becomes righteous, then he begins to be assisted by the Holy Spirit and know things that no one else knows, just as Jesus said in Matt 13:11, He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.”

Lesson Nine...............................................

9(M-BS) There are human traits that cause people to be blind and sin without realizing it, or not recognizing the sinful factors involved, which destroys. One seducing feature is seen in Roman 8:6, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” The Greek word for “carnal” sarx, means pertaining to the flesh, sensual, the lower passions. Many are attracted to carnal whims without realizing that it is a deceptive force. The opposite of carnal is spiritual, which ignores bodily concerns.

Lesson Ten..........................................

10(M-BS) Those who are carnally minded are easily led astray because they become fascinated and attracted by things that are sensual-based, things that thrill and exuberate the sensations of the body. They become obsessive over carnal urges and begin to idolize them as more important than anything else, which develops into IDOLIZED CARNAL GOALS, or more easily put: ICG. This is something that seems rather innocent, but in reality it breaks the first commandment: “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” Exodus 20:3

Lesson Eleven.........................................

11(M-BS) IDOLIZED CARNAL GOALS (ICG) is something that is welcomed with wide open arms into the human sense of reasoning and it is what causes the road to destruction to be wide and broad, just as Jesus said in Matt 7:13, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat.&rdquo

Lesson Twelve........................................

12(M-BS) ICG is made up of 6 things that humans crave and lust after: Pleasure, Comfort, Freedom, Power, Admiration and Public Respect. Most of these things are totally innocent when they are used in a sparing manner, but when they are put at first priority in the heart and excessively indulged in, they become a deadly sin: Pleasure becomes immorality and gluttony; Comfort becomes indolence (laziness); Freedom becomes stubbornness; Power becomes rebellion; Admiration becomes selfishness, and Public Respect becomes pride

Lesson Thirteen.......................................

13(M-BS) Those who are obsessed with ICG admire themselves, but not by God; they are shut off from the kingdom of heaven even though they don’t realize it. And they go so far as to shut up heaven for others by poisoning their minds, just as Jesus said in Matt 23:13, “But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.”

Lesson Fourteen..........................................

14(M-BS) God does admire certain ones, but they have to have 3 traits that He describes in Isaiah 66:2, “For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.” “Poor” is humble in spirit; “contrite” is a willingness to admit to wrong-doing; “trembling” at God’s word is immaculate respect for it, which means to pay attention to every little detail of it.

Lesson Fifteen.........................................

15(M-BS) Unfortunately, most everyone is gravitated toward ICG and repels like the plague anything that might resemble the 3 traits that God is looking for, but yet people admire themselves as being “good ” when God&rsdquo;s 3 good items are not in them. This becomes a boisterous attitude, projecting self-righteous ploys instead of being contrite, just as Jesus described in Luke 18:10-13, “Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men (who are) unjust, or even as this publican, and the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.” Jesus condemned the Pharisee, but praised the publican by saying he was forgiven and made innocent.

Lesson Sixteen.....................................

16(M-BS) Since the 3 good traits that God is looking for is such a lacking commodity, many people who claim to serve God are really false servants, just as we see in 2 Cor 11:13-15, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

Lesson Seventeen.......................................

17(M-BS) The lack of God’s 3 good traits has led false apostles to evolve into full blown movements of organizations that claim to do many wonderful works, just as Jesus predicted in Matt 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

Lesson Eighteen.......................................

18(M-BS) False servants and false apostles have so greatly saturated the organized Christian church that it is a mysterious force of mutiny that is an elusive force of insurrection, where these deceitful workers are hidden among the ranks of the truly dedicated. Because of this, Jesus had to invent symbols as a way to identify them by their character traits. He started with the parable of the Wheat and the Tares in Matt. 13:24-26, “The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.”

Lesson Ninteen.........................................

19(M-BS) The Tares represent those who refuse to adopt the character of Jesus, but imitate the traits of man instead that don’t involve many sacrifices while claiming to serve Christ, but there is another character trait: the Goats. They are the ones who stubbornly refuse to imitate Christ, but try to serve God in their own convenient way. Jesus described these in Matt 25:32, “And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats.”

Lesson Twenty...........................................

20(M-BS) Okay, we have the Goats, but there is still another symbol of insincerely, the 5 Foolish Virgins among the 10 Virgins in Matt 25:1-2, where they all had lamps, but only the foolish ones didn’t stock up with extra oil like the Wise Virgins did. The lamp is a symbol for the mind and when the light from the oil burns it creates the light of genuine holy righteousness. The oil is the Holy Spirit meted out in the form of the word of God, as we see in 2 Peter 1:21, “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” Therefore, the Foolish Virgins are those who avoid certain portions of Scripture by casting it out of their mind, which makes them low on oil.

Lesson Twentyone...........................................

21(M-BS) So far we have focused on the Tares, the Goats and the Foolish Virgins as private individuals who are obsessed with ICG and are placing it above the interests of God, which makes them BAD as false servants and false apostles who claim to worship God, but are not truly dedicated. However, there is another element that we need to focus on: Christian organizations that are false movements that create an after effect that causes insincerity. Jesus calls one the church of Laodicea in Rev 3:14-16, “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write… I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.””

Lesson Twentytwo...........................................

22(M-BS) The state of being “Lukewarm” is not an individual person, but a condition that one is in due to the laxness in a motivating theme that presents the theory that minimal efforts are acceptable in a devotional status, which can only be caused by eliminating genuine standards that require effort. If this is true, then it is being done by those who are rejecting the soundness of the legitimate standards, which is what we see in 2 Tim 4:3-4, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” The whole reason behind rejecting sound doctrine is because of the itch to make things easier.”
